1001 17 Sano weekend 232 alemat Mar 16, 2005 2005-03-16T12:30:08-0500 Dudes - I'm in. Haven't been on the site in months. (haven't surfed in months) After many years in So Cal, where I met GT and 70's San-O, and about 8 months in Nor Cal (talked on the phone to Benny once I think), I'm in Scottsdale, AZ. The waves aren't too good here, but I kept a quiver of 4 boards. The neighbors all look at them on my garage wall like a dog tilting it's head. I NEED SOME SURF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how did your search go? Did you ever find a board? BTW, we've talked a lot about fins and boards on this site, at the Sano weekend I thought I would bring a few of my favorite fins and those who would like to try them would be welcome. I also thought about two of my favorite boards. (now, which two?)

I just hope it is not some little old retired couple out on their first camping trip. A couple days with the people from this bb could send them wandering through some of Camp Pendleton's artillery ranges babbling incoherently.

1120 17 Sano weekend 261 MonkeyBoy Apr 25, 2005 2005-04-25T03:49:16-0400 Also, I have been checking airfare, found a few flights flying out of Philly landing in San Diego for about $200 round trip. Thought some of the east coast people flying out would want to know. I believe American Airlines was the cheapest, might be worth it to snatch up the tickets now because I think the airlines are running discounts.

1291 17 Sano weekend 278 Clay May 19, 2005 2005-05-18T23:33:01-0400 Sorry for the late response brothers, but I just joined this gig. I live in Dana Point and the second worst rains in recorded history this year has destroyed Doho. There is a gian sand bar, actually, its more like a wall that runs from the river mouth toward the jetty. Its killed boneyards and now the only real break is right in front of the river mouth. Get your hep shots before you surf would be good advice. As for the San'O trip. San'O is the most consistent best bet for surf in SoCal and in Sept/Oct, well I can't recall a day during this time were it wasn't at least waist high. Most often shoulder high. I surf the point every day worth surfing it, where are you guys going to be surfing? Old Mans, Point? See ya there. Aloha, Clay.
1292 17 Sano weekend 279 Guest May 19, 2005 2005-05-18T23:47:36-0400 I don’t want to jinx anything but there is a chance I’ll make it to the San O weekend. My wife and I are still wrestling with the logistics of our cross-country move, which originally had us leaving late October and that would mean no San O. But it is looking more and more like we may try for an early September move. If that happens I’ll definitely drive down from LA for at least one of the days.
1293 17 Sano weekend 280 silversurf May 19, 2005 2005-05-18T23:50:02-0400 Hey Clay, I guess the Texans will be the first arrivals -- we show up on Sunday, Sept. 18 and hang out for the week. Since some of us -- OK, just me -- are gradually getting back into surfing after a decade or two layoff, first couple of days might be spent at the least crowded breaks at SanO, sliding day by day (hopefully) to the better and more popular spots ... It's gonna be a great time. Look forward to seeing you and all the foks from all over who'll be making the pilgrimage ...

I hope you did not think I was pushing you or something, because that was not what I ment to do. I like the design you came up with and your price is good. 1312 17 Sano weekend 290 wanderer Jun 11, 2005 2005-06-11T07:54:34-0400 I think we have to label some of the members here as long -range planners. I still feel like the second week of June is early relative to the 25th of September. To Sean's credit, his design was made and largely approved a long time back, and still looks good. LongboardMaster is nice to offer an option while Sean was busy changing diapers. The embroidery option is also a very nice look, but might be too up-scale for the purpose - dontcha ya think, ... maybe...

1324 17 Sano weekend 301 Guest Jun 21, 2005 2005-06-21T07:11:48-0400 I'm still frustratingly up in the air on my move date, but if I move out for Sept. 1st, I'll definitely come to San-O and maybe set up a tent on someone's spare campsite. Maybe Benny's would be the better choice. If I remember correctly, MonkeyBoy is going to be passed around and I don't want anything to disturb my sleep.
1325 17 Sano weekend 302 B.O.S.S Jun 29, 2005 2005-06-29T12:31:52-0400 The sano weekend is going to be a blast. The shirts sean is doing is a real cool deal. Hope to see new members and see all my old friends from last year. It just amazes me how many folks are going to make it. boss
1326 17 Sano weekend 303 Sea2three Jul 1, 2005 2005-07-01T02:38:50-0400 Would love to be there fellas - maybe next year, when I have plans to make a pilgrimage to my personal mecca, the 'bu, to stock up on boards etc. In the meantime, found this in the archives - apparently taken at San-O (as the title would suggest) but damnit, can't see what the waves are like for these hippy chix! May they all be long, cool, clean + green......................... Attached files Image processing. Refresh page to view

1330 17 Sano weekend 307 Nate Jul 11, 2005 2005-07-10T23:17:41-0400 OK guys. I've been keeping a low SanO profile the past few months for 2 reasons: I dipped into the wife's good karma vault for the Coast Rica trip and wasn't sure if I could pull it off and; Came down with Lyme's and couldn't even think of surfing for a while. Bottom line is - I'm feeling much better (Doc thinks he got it w/ heavy antibiotics) and I've built up some pretty good equity with SweetyPie lately. Gonna make a stab at it the next few days. I'll do my best to make it.

They're gonna see us kooks in the water and laugh us to shore. Well, mentioned the gathering to the significant other and her reply was, "Well, you better practice cross steppin or you're gonna look like an idiot." So, there is a chance I might get to go. 1340 17 Sano weekend 317 g-coast Jul 26, 2005 2005-07-26T04:13:47-0400 My youger bro, the flight attendant for United in DC said he might show for a couple of days. I won't be holding my breath. This is a guy who calls me and says"Dude, I'll be in Surfside on this date so make sure you're around man". 3 weeks later I'll call him to see if he's dead and remind him of his prior commitment and he'll respond "Dude, why would I say that? I was in Rio that day, man; on vacation bro". Anywho, he sent me this pick he took of someone named Ponch from CHIPs. I aint sure if he's referring to Buffalo or Potato, but I'm sure my man Chuck Norris could kick his ass. Attached files

1343 17 Sano weekend 320 70s SanO Jul 27, 2005 2005-07-26T23:31:03-0400 I'll be staying in spot 148 at the San Mateo campground with my wife, my two sons, and a few of their friends. We will bring an assortment of boards, including one for MonkeyBoy. I think it might be fun to do a board swap, like the swap they did on the East coast, and get a chance to try out different boards. Of course, that is really up to each person as there is always a chance of getting a ding or two. I attached the latest map that was posting a couple of months ago. I don't know if there are any updates. I have to order my T-shirts today or tomorrow as I think Sean needs the order by August 1st. Can't believe it is almost August. We still don't have a kitchen at home yet. Got cabinets, countertop, but no floor or running water. On the plus side, it is kinda nice to have the fridge in the living room. Depending on where you sit, all we have to do is lean over and open it up. But my wife is getting a little suspicious that I'm moving a little too slow in finishing up the project... I wonder if I can make it to the Super Bowl. Image processing. Refresh page to view
1344 17 Sano weekend 321 MonkeyBoy Jul 27, 2005 2005-07-27T01:08:39-0400 I sent an email to Sean a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard back from him. I'm going to assume my order is in. $283 non-stop roundtrip from Philly to San Diego, going to order the tickets this week.
1345 17 Sano weekend 322 Sean Jul 27, 2005 2005-07-27T01:44:33-0400 MB -- I never got the e-mail from you! So, send me your order again.
