I watched Joe's Dad "operate" during a surf contest at Queens a number of years ago. Not a great example for his son. Reminds me of fathers I played ice hockey with, who pushed their kids way too hard. One dad would swear at his kid over the boards and in between periods pull the kid aside to "coach" him. I thought Joe was a decent kid, but his dad on the other hand... Happened to Eric Lindros of the Philadelphia Flyers, too. |
