This post was not meant to offend anyone. Austin Click to expand... Austin, one of these nuts compared the Union Jack to a Swastika. One guy said he doesn't like or respect the American Flag. These are uber-sensitive lovers of all mankind that hate all proud southerners, Col. Lee, Daisy Dukes, and Boss Hog. That's a lot of hate. Click to expand... I said that a few surfers used to put swastikas on their boards and dress like nazis (even though they weren't) just to get a rise out of people but I doubted that that was what the sentiment of the board was about...more likely a true believer in southern pride. Someone else stated that the American flag could be viewed as a symbol of oppression to many as well, a valid statement that didn't display any disrespect to your precious nationalism. If you're going to call people stupid at least don't misrepresent them. As a matter of personal style I would not put either flag on a board and I would snicker at anyone who did. What are southerners so proud of anyway? The south SUCKS in pretty much every respect imho (but it's better than Nebraska I suppose). I would think that at least the surfers there would be cool and some are but all in all their Ron Jon F350 dixie flag surf culture misses the mark. |
