That endgame is neo-imperialism, wrapped up as 'liberation/freedom', with gates open for those tech industries to do what the hell they like with humans and the planet to further their own interests. To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." The irony is, the problem with Capitalism (as political ideology rather than economic model) is that sooner or later, you run out of people and resources... |
