One of my personal predictions for the first year of the Trump presidency is that Surfline (and the various free forecasting apps) will go dark. This would be due to shutting down certain public APIs as a result of “cost-cutting”. I hope I’m wrong. It’s a damn shame. Lots of NOAA employees in this surf town (Point Judith area). No one stands to benefit from dismantling this treasure of a national agency. |
