336116 20655 The Death of Surfing 101 nedsurf Jan 24, 2025 2025-01-23T20:05:31-0500 Giggling a bit. We had many of these same discussions 20 years ago, and the guys before me had them 40 years ago. Remember when midday was old guys and hardcore, and all of a sudden nobody worked or went to school anymore and were crowding the breaks. Of course it is worse now. Skiing, climbing, flyfishing, traffic, surfing was way different when I was younger. As an old guy I'm blaming you. Sort of kidding, but you that are complaining are part of the problem. I gave up on it a few years ago cause I was getting my knickers in a knot and finally realized I needed to change. The things that make our lives easier also make our lives more difficult in many ways. As was said earlier, the gold is still out there, great sessions are still there, harder work and attitude will let you enjoy them. I might see you in the water, or not.
