I am uncle sams best friend. Long beach is one of the highest sales tax rates in LA county I believe and what you think of long beach is slowly spreading into the south end near seal. Bums everywhere, trash everywhere and the city land scaping is out of hand. If you wanna play by the rules pay all your taxs and bills it’s damn expensive. I dont know if I could start over here buying a house now. I bought in 2011. I just registered my sons 50cc honda and paid sales tax on it. it’s a 2003 389 bucks out the door to get it up to date 89 dollars more than i paid for it….. a complete scam. i also just worked right on the border i mean in the riverbed separating tj to SD at least 35 haitian immigrants where on our side iphones in hand waiting to be picked up by the border patrol. I asked where they would be taken thru conversation and he said most are given a plane ticket to florida rest are brought into cali…. CA likes to take take take money but not dump it back into what they say they are taking it for. I do just fine here i’d like to think i’d do alot better elsewhere and my dollar would go alot farther but with that said I make about 50 percent more hourly than i would in texas or idaho and work will never be as busy as it is in so cal until u hit the east coast. and i surf everyday i’m not working 7 miles to the beach. I think the only thing that will take us out of CA is if it comes to taking our son out of public school do to the indoctrination. so far we have had good teachers that are just there to teach. But i feel we would home s b a drastic move. also don’t think i’d sell my house rather rent it out. if it wasn’t for the surf 15 mins away fly fishing 3-4 hours away and desert 2 hours away we’d be gone! one last thing i’m seeing is that their answer to affordable living is allowing nice tracks of homes to make their garages into studio apartments. ya all good on paper till ur once nice neighborhood is a rental bario with 4 families living there. |
