I miss CA often, but the cost of living was astronomical. We often look at property there and are discouraged when we see the combo of mortgage plus HOA fees. Though, I will say that the east coast nickel and dimes you for many things that CA does not. Not to mention the privatization of ocean access here. Certain surf spots have $20 parking fees regardless of whether you're there for an hour or all day, some even have an added fee if you're surfing. |
