He's shaped me two boards and gotten them both to me in less than four months. The first one when I was a little grom - and he had Green Room open in OB and another one just a few months ago. I've bought two dialers off the rack at Mitch's and one off a pro up in Ventura. Who only sold it because he was raffling money for charity... and he had others. I had to fight Dane Gudauskus for it (which hopefully tells you how his boards work). Rich appreciates having "clients in good standing" and he appreciates stoke. If you're psyched on shapes and waves Rich will talk your ears off for hours about physics. Surfing a Toby fish is the closest thing to a magic carpet I've ever experienced. If you can track him down and get a true heart and wings - hand shaped board - you'll look at this sport we call surfing very differently. He's back in town. Hermosa Surf has a few right now. And look for them at Mitch's soon too. Maaaaaybe Marshall Bros up in Malibu in 2023. |
