And a ride like that is not so bad - wish I had some shots of me doing that. Oh wait, I'd have to actually do it first. I have some great video of me buzzsawing another guy's board last year at Playa Grande. Looks like I had all day to turn, but it felt like a microsecond. Mind you, I kinda lost it on the takeoff and the dude made no effort to paddle behind the curl and then dove off his board, leaving it broadside right below me. Still, there's something about all that spped a quad can generate heading straight down a wave with a 210 lb rider. Put about a six-inch slice in the tail of that board. I felt guilty anyway and paid for the repair and his rental. But that video just looks awful. I should post it on Youtube. Then again, no. I'll keep it to myself. |
