Special thanks to Miles for loaning me not just a board, but all the gear when the airline lost my luggage. Anderson Fan for providing security at Malibu. Big thanks to Mark for diner at the Rib Trader. I still don't know how Pawdy finished all those f'in ribs!!! And to Graham and his wife for once again taking time to supply breakfast on Saturday morning. Nothing like eating a hot off the grill bacon and egg breakfast on the beach. You guys rock! (Oh, sorry for throwing the frisbee too hard to your son.) Nedsurf, thanks for getting the permit. And thanks to whoever set up the banner. Little Al for the stone soup. Mario for setting up the museum tour. Bill at VW Surfari who rented me a van and still gave me a discount for bringing in referals despite the fact that I dented it up real good at LAX. This guy is a prince! And thanks to everyone, JD, Lonedog, Ben, Mike, Scout, Jason, Silk, Mario's crew, Ed, Pawdy, Andrew, Jim Phillips etc... for being just a great bunch of guys and girls who I would be proud to have as locals at my break. In know I'm forgetting some people here and that's mostly due to the fact that I killed some short-term memory at the camp fire Saturday night with Bushmills and beer. (Thanks again, Pawdy. Hope your leg feels better. I'm coming to Ireland and making you try Bushmills and Jamison side by side.) I can't wait to see you all, and some new faces, next year. As the season wears on here on the East Coast, I look forward to getting out to San O to remember what it is the brought me to surfing, and longboarding in particular, in the first place: a chance to have fun and escape the pressures of life, if only for a little while, and to share it with equally stoked travelers. Oh, and to my new friend from San Dieago: Yea, I will take that bong hit for the road! Be safe everyone, I don't want to have to award you the stomp pad next year! See you next year!
