Brought back great memories of sailing from San Diego to Catalina every summer, diving out there, and just generally being on the fringes of a lot of cool stuff. It actually made me really nostaligic - for the area as it was, for what we got to do (thanks Mom and Dad!) and a bit bummed because I was so mono-focused on surfing that I missed some of the really neat boating/coastal stuff that my Dad was trying to turn us onto. We sailed a lot, but I just kindof glossed over navigation and such because I wanted to spend my free time surfing. Anyway, whether you've boated or dove or not, it's still a nice, easy, and informative read. |
