16680 215 The best Cooperfish ever? 37 Real Jersey Aug 6, 2008 2008-08-06T02:53:28-0400 Ha Ha that's me it was going to be OldJersey but I decided on RealJersey and I'm surprised no none else picked up on it,all in fun. I won't bore everyone on here with pics of me but you can check my mates Flickr that he has just started for the local lonboarders if you want Al. Edit ;Don't know why link didn't show but I'll try and send it to you Al ! little AL wrote: You must be from Jersey, as you say the real Jersey. If thats you then Yes that was my board, it was a good rider but believe it or not it was putting me out front of the wave too fast. Gene put a speed concave on it and before I could get to the nose I was way out on the sholder. It was a great looking board glad you are enjoying it. How are the waves on the real Jersey? Pics please. AL[/b] Real Jersey wrote: I can't resist commenting . I have a 10'8 Cooperfish red tiger custom square tail (One of little Al's old ones I think ) and it is the best board I have and I have quite a few !!! I've just come back from France with it and as usual it went great. Forget Tandem with a big board , you HAVE to move about on it to speed up ,slow down, turn , whatever but the rewards are huge. It is by far the most satisfying board I have to ride and I do worry about damaging it but it has to be ridden . I am lucky enough to have a 10'5 coopdesign MF and a couple of Coop's that are nearly finished and I can't wait to see them and get them in the water , which is where they belong. Don't get me wrong , I have Bings ,Harbours, Hobie's , Yater's etc and they are all great including a 10' Trestle Special that I almost snapped on a big day (stress crack right across now reaired) but they HAVE to be ridden or they mean nothing ! I have had some of the best waves of my life on the TS but if the worst happens I will have great memories and 2 5' TS's to hang on the wall! Keep supporting your shapers because the boards can be replaced but the shapers can't. Click to expand... [/quote]
