It's hand shaped by Tim Mason, who has worked with Spence at different points + shaped boards under Spence's 'Hullabaloo' label (correct me if this isn't quite accurate please, Spence) It's flat, bladey and relatively weighty, but not too much. To my eye, it's outline is 'longboard', but flip it to the side or look down it's length and it's all hull. I'll post some pics up when I get a chance.... So - I've tried the 4C and also a custom 9.5in volan flex fin, which is kinda some way between an A-Flex and the 4C in template, but need to suss out placement. I felt the 4c was a touch draggy, but may need to shift it up in the box. The flex fin felt faster but is probably a bit underpowered for this particular board.. Naturally, I will experiment with this, but for those who have gone through their own experimentation - what have you tried/in what size board + what works for you fin-wise? |
