13982 181 Sharing an Austin Soul Glide 1 NJ Longboarder Mar 19, 2008 2008-03-19T01:01:24-0400 I’ve been out of the water for the past few months with a foot injury and my ADD/ADHD and surfboard addiction has kicked into high gear. I was watching Single Fin Yellow one night and thought it would be a good idea to send a board up and down the coast. So long story short……Austin is putting the finishing touches on a 9’8” Soul Glide that will be invading a break near you. He will follow up with more details (he won’t even tell me what the thing looks like) when it is closer to completion. This is all I know about the board from the man himself: Dims: 9'8x23.5x3.125 Soul Glide Blended concave to rolled bottom. 50/50 rails and glassed with an 8-6-8 volan glassjob. as for the colorwork.....you’re gonna have to wait. Austin This is the model….not the specific board. I hope to bring the board back up to NJ when I head down to Austin’s on April 5[sup]th[/sup]. Anyone in NJ that wants to use it, drop me a PM and it’s yours (I won't be back in the water 'til May). I will need it back to bring it to the NY Fish Fry on May 4[sup]th[/sup] and the Anything But 3 in LBI on May 5[sup]th[/sup]. After that, I hope to get the board as far north as possible (unforgiven…you in?) and then it can make its way down the coast hopefully to FL. If the timing is right, maybe someone can bring it out to SanO in Sept (I won’t be making it this year) We will be sending a wave log along with the board for everyone to write in about where/when they surfed it and how it went. Don’t be afraid to use the board, but repair any dings before they take on water. Peak â€" sorry for the kiss ass type thread.
