I stuck with it and got a lot of shit in MD as a teenager. Worked in a shop for years with the same look on surfing. Problem is that its one giant negative feedback loop. Heavy logs don't sell in most shops but shortboards go like candy. Makes it difficult to carry the boards and hence spread the word. Most shops I know want to carry the traditional logs but have to go with what sells. |
