Roach had. Waves were less than perfect in the 4'-6' range. Board was quick, loose and as I described it to Roach at the time, very skateboard-esq in the conditions at hand. I was suprised at how well it carved a big turn with that wide tail. I had no issues with how it performed in the lumpy surf that session but never had the op to get it out on a clean lined up day. Heard later from another friend that it wasn't all that impressive in clean lined up beach break. Maybe these boards like a bit of size in order to show their true potential???\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAloha\n        \n\n\nClick to expand...\n\n\n\n\nI don't think size is the issue.  On Brian's advice, I took it out on a day more suited to longboarding.  Waves were maybe thigh high at best but I waited for the ones that bowled up a bit and it was on those waves that the HG is a blast.  It's just a guess but I think a little steepness is the key."]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["47706"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.6791800005885307, "license": "Public Domain"}
