They may help a little with the cold, hard to tell.\n\n\n\nI also reinforce the heel by gluing on a patch of something tough so that it doesn't wear out during the small amount of walking that's unavoidable.\n\n\n\nGoing up in fin size means going for a larger blade which I find awkward.\n\n\n\nAren't there enough cold water flipper wearing surfers to justify some manufacturer coming up with a thicker/warmer fin sock?
