And use of 'faux' stringers was easily recognizable - pretty much just exposed veneer strips with no depth.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPopouts were soon replaced with production boards like Dextra and the Duke K in the referenced CL ad, then thankfully went the way of the dinosaur once enough shapers emerged to meet market demands.
