What I got was the biggest trade off/aggressive board that I've ever ridden. Super good on clean, higher tide days where you can trim and get up to the nose. He kept as close to a flat rocker as per glider fashion. Rails have a sharp edge towards the bottom which runs the whole rail of the board and rolls into a subtle hull that runs 2/3rds aft of the board, single concave in the nose for noseriding. Very straight rails/flat deck, board sits right in the water, not on top. This board when in the right conditions is amazing, so quick and the acceleration is unreal right in the curl of the wave. Turning the board is ok when pivoting but very hard to turn anywhere after a few feet from the rear.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI would not recommend this board (mine in particular) as a glider only board. This thing is a phenomenally fast board at the 9-10' range, and noserides pretty damn well for what it is. BUT if you had to get a speed demon glider here is my recommendation.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1. The speed demon is already so damn fast, I don't think you're getting any crazy speed bumps going anything larger than 10'6\". If I had it made again, I'd go shorter and pull in the tail (like the tail on Danes 11'10\") so it doesn't feel like I'm trying to turn a 18 wheeler.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2. Lighter weight for the glider size. I went 666 with classic foam, I am heavier (200 lbs) and I go heavy on my boards but I would've gone lighter on the glass schedule/or go with a green blank. The board feels solid in hand but is too heavy for the design, it feels like it wants to accelerate faster in trim but is held back by its weight. My Mike Griffin gypsy glider feels so much more free under foot without compromising durability.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n3. I would detune the \"torpedo\" design for something more friendly. More rocker, more curvature, less aggressive rails. I know Dane had made a 13' glider that had Speed Demon genes but in an Eagle configuration/shape.
